We stayed for a week at the 2 bedroom Gite from Petit Clos. The house is authentically and tastefully decorated and is equipped with everything you need. From oven to dishwasher and beautiful bathrooms with rain showers. Beds were really comfortable and we had the saltwater pool the entire week for ourselves. We had the best bbq sessions, overlooking the vineyard of Henk and Cindy. We will miss this place, and the sweet dogs Beau and Django as well. We would recommend this place to friends without a doubt. Thanks Cindy and Henk! Best wishes, Liza, Jan, Lex & Lara

We stayed for 3 nights in May in the gite at Petit Clos while attending a reunion with some old school friends. The gite had been lovingly renovated, retaining the high ceilings, open to the rafters, while benefiting from huge walk-in showers in each of the bedrooms. However, the most striking thing about the Petit Clos was the warmth and care that Hank and Cindy brought to every aspect of our stay. This included e-mailing us with a Google map showing the route from Bergerac airport; Cindy at the door on our first morning with croissant fresh from the boulangerie; Hank making a fire for us in the wood-burning stove in the sitting room. What advice do we have for other travellers? First, we can recommend dinner in one of Cindy’s favourite restaurants, La Terrasse in Duras. Secondly, Buggs Cars provide hire cars at a reasonable price with a straightforward contract and a level of service that puts their larger competitors to shame. But, above all, definitely stay at Petit Clos. We shall do so again. The only change we would make would be to wait until June when the weather is warmer.

Charming 2-bedroom Holiday Rental Southern France
Dear Hank and Cindy, We had the best time at your beautiful home. Thank you so much for everything. All the best, Charlotte

Firstly the photos do not do Petit Clos justice, the high ceiling in the living area is breath taking. This gite has been lovingly renovated and luxuriously decorated. We had everything we needed from highchair and travel cot for our 17 month old to BBQ and a bottle of local wine on arrival… and even towels for the pool were provided. We spent a fantastic week here, sharing our time investigating the local area (with suitable suggestions from Cindy) and hours in the saltwater pool. Our 6 year old was in holiday heaven! Once the kids were in bed, we were able to fully enjoy the peaceful and stunning surroundings. We were truly in the middle of nowhere…bliss! With Hank tending to the vineyards and Cindy next door available whenever we needed her, they both made our week even better. Always very welcoming and nothing was ever too much trouble. What fantastic memories! We will certainly be back to discover more of the area next year. Thank you from all of us x
On the Farm
Our farm is surrounded by hiking, biking & riding trails - including a small section of the Vézelay route to Santiago de Compostela - just adjacent to our property. We have our own small vineyard, a personal woods and lots of wide open spaces for you to explore and enjoy.
Cool down in our private salt water pool with expansive views of the nearby sunflower fields and vineyards. We have horses for the kids to pet as well as our little French Bulldog, Beau, our Golden Retriever, Django, and our two cats, Roux & Ella.
SEE & DO
Petit Clos is on the Route de Vins located between two AOC award winning wine regions, Côtes de Duras, Bergerac, and we can help you arrange for wine tours and tastings.
Our region is home to many of the most beautiful french villages that are listed under the official designation "Les Plus Beaux Villages de France," along with numerous historic bastide towns such as Eymet and Duras just 15 minutes away.
The famous prehistoric caves of Lascaux are also in close proximity. There is a world class golf course nearby - Chateau des Vigiers - and for those who prefer to tour the region by hot air balloon, Domaine de Durand offers flights and is within walking distance of Petit Clos.
Brocantes and special "vide greniers" (flea markets) are held often so you can search for little french treasures to take home.
If fine french food is what you are after, you have struck it rich here in the Aquitaine region known for its gastronomic specialties. Dine out at one of the many fine restaurants in the area and shop for your delicacies at one of the weekly markets.
When you get your second wind in the evening, check out one of the many festive summertime night markets and fetes.
Please send us an email or text (+33 6 77 35 54) with your reservation request. We will get back to you as soon as possible; no later than 24-hours with a booking confirmation.
